Reflections of the Owner

Writer: Bob & Joyce SimpsonBob & Joyce Simpson

Almost 30 years ago, my wife, Joyce and I bought E-3 as a rental property but we wanted to make it very special and intimate place for couples and small families to enjoy. As the web-site photos show, over the 30 years we designed and re-designed E-3 to make it beautiful and artistic while maintaining a quality of being on the beach. As the years past we got older - I'm 75 now and Joyce won't reveal her age - and we decided to sell E-3 as we entered the last chapter of out lives. We put it on the market and waiting for offers we decided to spend more time there ourselves as a last hurrah. Joyce has always been passionate about our place on the sand. And then, low-and-behold, I had a paradigm shift and found myself in love with it again as a vacation retreat not just for others but for Joyce and myself. Then, it sold! What to do?

We offered a sum of money to the new buyers to stop the escrow and they kindly accepted. We are so grateful to them for now we can truly vacation (when it is not rented, of course).

I hope this little piece of paradise rubs you the same way. Joyce and I are both Marriage Counselors - we try to practice what we preach. Taking time out to be in in our little piece of paradise on the sand continues re-vitalize our "two"getherness. I hope it can do the same for you and yours. Bob
